It would be quite a double for DObbie if it happened having won promotion with Blackpool last season whilst on loan from Swansea.<\/p>\n
“If Swansea have ever had a chance to get promoted, it’s this season,” he told the Evening Post.<\/p>\n
“The squad we’ve got is strong as we saw on Tuesday with\u00a0David Cotterill, myself, Jermaine Easter,\u00a0Mark Gower, Andrea Orlandi and Neil Taylor\u00a0all coming in.<\/p>\n
“Half the team was changed and we could still go out and get a result \u2014 that’s the kind of squad we have.<\/p>\n
“The squad we’ve got here is one of the best there’s been for a long while at this level.<\/p>\n
“There are possibilities. Making the play-offs is probably our aim this year and if we can get any higher then fantastic.<\/p>\n
“Hopefully this group can do what Blackpool did last year and then it will have been two good years for me.<\/p>\n
“You have to keep working hard in training and hopefully the day comes along where you get your chance,” he said.<\/p>\n
“It’s been a while, but the boys have been playing fantastically, as our league position shows.<\/p>\n
“The gaffer has got decisions to make and I’m sure he’ll bring in a couple of players in January, when it could be the same situation for a couple of the other boys.<\/p>\n
“I was in the team, then Marvin (Emnes) came and scored a couple of important goals.<\/p>\n
“Craig Beattie had waited for his chance and he got it.<\/p>\n
“Hopefully I did enough out there against Barnsley to get another start tomorrow.<\/p>\n
“But when you look at our bench the other day it was fantastic, with the likes of Craig and Scott (Sinclair) on it.<\/p>\n
