The new signing told the Evening Post “I had a few offers from other clubs but as soon as I came down to speak to the manager and chairman (Huw Jenkins) I was very committed to Swansea and I wasn’t going to go back on my word<\/p>\n
“I spoke to a lot of people about the manager before I came down for talks and they all had nothing but praise for him as a person and a coach.<\/p>\n
“I needed confirmation for myself on how he saw me fitting in to the squad, but as soon as I spoke to him I knew there was only one place for me.<\/p>\n
“There is a great set-up here at Swansea, from the stadium and the pitch to the squad itself. There are some very good young players here and I think everyone in the game is well aware of their unique style of play.<\/p>\n
“They always play good football, which I think will suit me. I’m really looking forward to it.”<\/p>\n
Chairman Huw Jenkins was equally as pleased to have got his man and said “Brendan feels he can work with Luke to release his full potential.<\/p>\n
“And with the type of club we are and the football we play, I’m convinced he can bring a great deal to this football club.<\/p>\n
