The Swansea City manager saw Scott Sinclair’s penalty earn his team a point at Barnsley capping a good fightback after a very poor first 45 minutes.<\/p>\n
“I’m happy with a point after our first-half performance,” he told the official site. “We weren’t aggressive enough defensively.<\/p>\n
“But we were much better in the second-half and it was a clear penalty. Scott was quick off the mark and showed great explosive pace to get a clear touch on the ball before being brought down.<\/p>\n
“Not many players would have got there. But he’s the type of player that even when he is not having a good game still has the composure to grab a goal.<\/p>\n
“It showed the spirit in the group to come back from a goal down and our second-half performance was much more like the Swansea I know.<\/p>\n
“If we weren’t going to win the game then it was important we didn’t lose it.<\/p>\n
“I’d like to see the goal again from a different angle because it’s not conclusive at all,” he added.<\/p>\n
“One of the photographers showed me a picture of the goal and it didn’t look over the line to me.<\/p>\n
“I’m still disappointed at the way we defended the corner and it’s something we’ve got to learn from very quickly.<\/p>\n
“But I’ve got to applaud Barnsley because they played well in the first-half. They are a good side, especially at home.<\/p>\n
“They’ve got the thirdbest home record in the division and went into the game having won eight of their last 13 home games.<\/p>\n
“So we will probably look back on this as a good point.’<\/p>\n
