Britton should line up for Swansea City against Cardiff City on Sunday after making his first start for the club since his return in Tuesday’s win at Bristol City.<\/p>\n
Britton was forced to watch the first meeting between the two sides this season on television following his move to Sheffield United in the summer but he is now back and trying to help lift the Swans into the Premier League.<\/p>\n
He told the Western Mail \u201cWhat a first home game to be back involved in<\/p>\n
\u201cI could not have picked a better game. It\u2019s been a great game to play in over the years.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was gutted to miss the one earlier in the season.<\/p>\n
\u201cSwansea went there and dominated, kept the ball and really deserved the win.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey showed they\u2019ve really progressed from last year.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt will be my first game back at the Liberty so it would be a nice one to be involved in and to be back amongst the fans.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019ve been brilliant with me and hopefully they will be the same on Sunday.”<\/p>\n
Britton though missed some of the derby last time around as he explains \u201cI was down in London and went to my sister\u2019s to\u00a0watch the game, but she got caught in traffic and I missed the first 15 minutes which I wasn\u2019t happy about<\/p>\n
\u201cI was sat waiting outside her flat, I\u2019d told her to make sure she was there 10 minutes early, but there was a bit of traffic and I missed the start.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wasn\u2019t happy about it and I let her know! When I got to watch it on the television I was wishing to be part of it.<\/p>\n
\u201cNow I\u2019m grateful I\u2019ve got the opportunity to be back involved in one of the derbies.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s amazing when you think no side has done the double, but the games are so tight and unpredictable,\u201d said Britton.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve won at their place, but there\u2019s no guarantee going into Sunday we are going to win.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt would be a great achievement if we could be the first of the two clubs to do it.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019ve got a fantastic squad, a lot of players with\u00a0Premier League\u00a0experience and a lot of firepower.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut the Liberty has been very good for us since we\u2019ve moved there.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s very tight between the two teams and being at the top end of the Championship adds a bit of spice.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s nice to go into the derby with a win under our belt, but we know the game with Cardiff will be a very difficult one.<\/p>\n
\u201cOver the last couple of seasons they\u2019ve been very tight games.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe whole squad will want to involved in that game.<\/p>\n
\u201c It\u2019s the one you want to be involved in because of how much it matters to people.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to play in it, Joe Allen wants to play in it and I\u2019m sure every member of the squad does.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s not just Joe, it\u2019s Kemy (Agustien), Andrea (Orlandi). The competition is very hot in midfield and has been for years. But it keeps you on your toes and when you get a chance you know you have to take it.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll we can do is work hard in training and try and earn our place.<\/p>\n
