The Cardiff City midfielder will play in Sunday’s derby – his first at the Liberty Stadium\u00a0– looking to avoid the defeat that would signal the first league double in derby history.<\/p>\n
Following the Swans 1-0 win at the Cardiff City Stadium back in November, a win on Sunday will give the Swans that double and move them – more importantly – five points clear of their rivals in the promotion race.<\/p>\n
Talking to BBC Sport, Olofinjana said “I don’t want to see that happen in my time<\/p>\n
“We will give our best towards making sure it stays the same.<\/p>\n
“As a team, I don’t think we want to look at it as a derby, we want to look at it as one of the games we play in the season,” said Olofinjana, who is on a season-long loan from Hull City.<\/p>\n
“We know very well it’s going to be a difficult game because of the attention the game is going to bring.<\/p>\n
“I’ve been privileged to have played in a few derbies and I know what to expect. The game itself is more for the fans.<\/p>\n
“We try to tell ourselves to play the game not the occasion. It’s a pride thing, a commanding thing, so you can understand the frustration if it doesn’t go the way they want the game to go.<\/p>\n
“I think they’ve got a very wonderful team. They pass the ball very well, they are set in their ways and they know what they want to do and they do it very, very well,” he added.<\/p>\n
“Without giving too much away, I would say they are the Chelsea of the division in the way they go about everything.<\/p>\n
“They are fantastic ball jugglers and very, very wonderful players, but they are beatable.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
