The Swansea City defender grabbed his 2nd goal of the season in the 3-0 win over Doncaster and he told the Evening Post after the game “The Championship is a tough league and this week sums it up,<\/p>\n
“We’re looking at getting maximum points, which we have to do at this stage of the season.<\/p>\n
“To get nine points from the three games is a big target, but that’s the pressure we put on ourselves.<\/p>\n
“We want to signal our intentions this week. If we get maximum points then it will show the league that we are looking at the automatic spots.<\/p>\n
“We want to beat the teams around us, especially at home.<\/p>\n
“But the mark of a very good side is doing it on the road too. The gaffer has said we have to go to places and win, not just rely on our home form.<\/p>\n
“And if we can win at Coventry, that will keep us on target for our aim.”<\/p>\n
And on his goal celebration he added “I don’t know sometimes what I’ll do.<\/p>\n
“But I’ve been down the gym quite a bit recently and I joked one morning that I’d get the guns out if I scored.<\/p>\n
“After the Middlesbrough game I said I’d get both out for my next goal.<\/p>\n
“I think everyone had a bit of a laugh from it, but it was nice to score in consecutive games.<\/p>\n
