Leicester City manager Sven Goran Eriksson insists that the Swans will triumph at Wembley on 30 May and he told the Western Mail “Swansea have played good football all season<\/p>\n
“They are really the only team who has played us out of the park. <\/p>\n
“The game at the Liberty Stadium was one of the few that we did not deserve to win or even draw – they were much better than we were and I was extremely impressed by them.”<\/p>\n
But with Swansea having to overcome in-form Forest before dreaming of Wembley, Eriksson added: “There are four strong teams, and it’s impossible to know who will go through but Nottingham Forest have had a good run and the team who comes on a good run at the end normally has a good chance to do it.”<\/p>\n
Sven's views were echoed by Neil Warnock – manager of Champions QPR – who said “Reading have had a good run, although in the last two or three games they have dropped off<\/p>\n
“But they have got themselves into the play-offs and they have some great players. <\/p>\n
“And Forest have come good at the right time. Billy Davies has a youngish squad there, but if they believe in themselves they can beat anyone on their day.<\/p>\n
“Dave Jones has the hardest job because of the disappointment of missing out on the top two and the way they missed out.<\/p>\n
“That will be the hardest thing, to get them going again.<\/p>\n
“So I have got a sneaky feeling for Swansea, if I’m honest.<\/p>\n
“But I don’t know what will happen — they could implode in one game and throw their chances away.<\/p>\n
“The play-offs are the play-offs – really it’s heads or tails in these games.<\/p>\n
“If you were a betting man, you would not have put a penny on Blackpool last year, so everybody’s got a chance.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
