Williams has been linked with a move away from Swansea City this summer – a move that he has denied himself via his Twitter page.<\/p>\n
However, Moralee does believe that his player is worthy of a new contract at the club as he explained to the Evening Post "We will probably sit down with Swansea at some point and discuss Ashley's contract situation <\/p>\n
"We will weigh things up and maybe look to sort out some new terms.<\/p>\n
"I have always felt Ashley was a Premier League footballer, and now Swansea are a Premier League club it may be time to sit down and discuss his contract,'' he added.<\/p>\n
"Ashley's on holiday and we haven't had any dialogue with the club.<\/p>\n
"But if they came to us with an offer of course we'd listen.<\/p>\n
"Ashley is one of the most committed footballers I have ever worked with," added the former Millwall and Watford striker.<\/p>\n
"If there is interest in someone like Matt Mills at Reading, I would expect there to be interest in Ashley because I think he's a better player.<\/p>\n
"But the club say they haven't received any bids so far.<\/p>\n
"Ashley deserves clubs to be interested in him, although I would never try to force him out of Swansea.<\/p>\n
"Ashley and Swansea are a match made in heaven. They work well together.<\/p>\n
"I expect there to be bids for Ashley throughout the summer," Moralee continued.<\/p>\n
"But there have been bids over the last 18 months and Ashley hasn't left Swansea, so nobody should be panicking about that.<\/p>\n
"I don't see why things will change now, bearing in mind that Swansea have made it to the Premier League.<\/p>\n
"If a bid came in that was right for Swansea and an opportunity came along, we would discuss it. But there have been no bids so far this summer for Ashley.<\/p>\n
"What I do know is that Ashley deserves to be in the Premier League. I cannot speak highly enough of his application and his attitude.<\/p>\n
