The Dutchman, who was out of contract at the Liberty Stadium, looks set to pen a three year deal at Molineux after failing to agree terms on a fresh contract at Swansea.<\/p>\n
It will come as a blow for Brendan Rodgers, who had hoped to keep the 30 year old in south west Wales for the forthcoming Premier League campaign.<\/p>\n
News first broke of a collapse in talks between club and player last week, when it was revealed by Wales Online that De Vries was unhappy with the financial terms of the contract – namely a relegation wage clause.<\/p>\n
His agent Arnold Oosterveer said at the end of last week: "There are a lot of teams interested in Dorus and Wolves are one of them."<\/p>\n
"Dorus is on holiday at the moment. He's back next weekend.<\/p>\n
"We've had Swansea's final offer so Dorus will make a final decision when he gets back."<\/p>\n
De Vries signed for the club four years ago from Dunfermline, proving to be one of Roberto Martinez's finest signings. He broke the record for most clean sheets in a season in 2009\/10 before helping the Swans gain promotion to the promised land in what looks like will be his final appearance for the club.<\/p>\n
Rodgers is thought to be closing in on a replacement already with Polish stopper Grzegorz Sandomierski the subject of a reported £3m bid earlier this week.
