David Cotterill admits that he is going to have to head out on loan as he talks about his frustration at a lack of action<\/p>\n
Cotterill was in good form for the reserves this week as they beat Liverpool 2-1 at Parc Y Scarlets but he knows he has no real future at the club and must seek a loan move elsewhere to try and get his career back on track.<\/p>\n
Cotterill was speaking to the Evening Post when he said “As soon as the loan window opens, I’ll be looking to get out and play a few games<\/p>\n
“It’s really frustrating at the moment that I’m not playing. I’m not even travelling with the team so it’s important I go somewhere else to give me the best chance of getting in the Welsh squad.<\/p>\n
“My future’s not looking very bright at Swansea, that’s no secret because the gaffer’s put it out in the press.<\/p>\n
“It’s been very difficult because I thought I’d come back this season with a clean slate. I kept my head down and worked hard, but obviously that wasn’t enough because I didn’t even get to travel for the tour of Austria.<\/p>\n
“I came back and worked my socks off in pre-season, but wasn’t really given the chance to do anything,” added Cotterill.<\/p>\n
“It’s frustrating because I do really like the club. When I left Sheffield United I wanted to settle at a club for a good few years, but that’s not going to be the case.<\/p>\n
“They’re a great bunch of lads here and they play great football. That’s something I’m used to and I’d love to be a part of it.<\/p>\n
“The manager’s been up front with me. It’s just disappointing because I want to play for someone as good as him.<\/p>\n
“I’ve spoken to Gary Speed and he said if I can get myself playing I’ve got a really good chance of playing for Wales because they are short down the right hand side.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
