Michel Vorm has confirmed his ambition to gain the Dutch Number 1 jersey although he accepts he has a tough job ahead of him<\/p>\n
Vorm also revealed that he had followed the progress of fellow country man Dorus De Vries during his time with Swansea<\/p>\n
Vorm was speaking after last weekend’s 3-1 defeat at Norwich and told the Western Mail\u00a0\u201cI don\u2019t know Dorus de Vries personally<\/p>\n
\u201cI did follow his time with Swansea simply because he was a Dutch goalkeeper who went to play in English football so I was interested.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut I don\u2019t know him and I don\u2019t speak to him \u2013 but him leaving gave me an opportunity so perhaps I should thank him.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know if playing for Swansea helps my chances with Holland \u2013 Stekelenburg is No.1 \u2013 but it is better and easier for me to be at this level and adapt to playing for the national side than it was when I was playing for Utrecht.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s my ambition to be No.1 but you also must be realistic and Stekelenburg has done very well for the national side for a long period.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe main thing for me is to play well for Swansea and I am particularly focussed on that \u2013 the Oranje is a bonus.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m not going to turn up at the training camps miserable when I know I\u2019m not playing. Are you crazy? I find it amazing every time I am called up.<\/p>\n
