Both Brendan Rodgers and Craig Beattie are confident that his loan move to Watford will benefit all parties<\/p>\n
Beattie joined Watford on loan until January 8 on Monday ending a frustrating period for the striker at the Swans.<\/p>\n
He has struggled to hold down any form of regular place in the team since his move to the club and both parties feel that a loan move will be beneficial for all concerned.<\/p>\n
Rodgers told the Evening Post\u00a0“It has been difficult for Craig to get regular football<\/p>\n
“He is 27, and at a point in his career where he wants to play more regularly than he has been.<\/p>\n
“He is a good man who works hard every day \u2014 he is very professional.<\/p>\n
“But when you are Craig’s age you want to have something at the end of the week, and he now gets the chance to play some games for Watford.<\/p>\n
“He is in the last year of his contract, and he can maybe consider some of the options that may be available to him.<\/p>\n
“It’s too early to close the door,” he added.<\/p>\n
“He will go to get games and then we will assess it in January.”<\/p>\n
Whilst Beattie said\u00a0“I want to play first-team football again and I will be doing my best to help the Hornets as much as I can during the spell.<\/p>\n
“The ankle injury I picked up recently set me back a bit, but now I’m feeling fit and raring to go.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
