The Swans have been linked with a move for the Chelsea younger in recent weeks and Andre Villas-Boas has admitted that he would consider letting the youngester go on loan in January to gain some experience.<\/p>\n
And that has prompted Rodgers to confirm his interest when he told the Western Mail\u00a0\u201cI need to have a conversation at length with Chelsea<\/p>\n
\u201cHe is a wonderful talent and the positive is that they see Swansea as a club that can develop such talents.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, if he is not getting the game-time, Chelsea will understand he needs to get some.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf the moment comes that he is allowed to go out then he is a player that would do very well here.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll I can do is put forward a case of why a young player should come here \u2013 and I will continue to do that.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to be in the market for the very best players. We obviously don\u2019t have the money to buy such players, but we can loan players and I am very confident of what we can give such a player here.<\/p>\n
\u201cPlayers at that level need to be coming out and into a side that plays football and understands that way of playing, and also a manager who understands the development of young players.<\/p>\n
