Rodgers said after the game\u00a0“Overall, the manner in which we won and the performance was outstanding<\/p>\n
“It showed we had learnt from last week, and in the first half we were a fraction away from being outstanding.<\/p>\n
“But it was a terrific performance from us against an established side.<\/p>\n
“We opened up the pitch, kept the ball and killed the game off, so that was very satisfying from our point of view.<\/p>\n
“I thought the pressure would be key and that’s how we approach the game; to go out and win.<\/p>\n
“But I still thought that we were the better side today and we could have scored a few more.<\/p>\n
“It was a great finish from Danny,” said Brendan. “I don’t think anyone in the stadium doubted him.”<\/p>\n
