Brendan Rodgers admits he would love to sign a new deal at the club<\/p>\n
Rodgers has worked on a 12 month rolling contract since arriving at the club back in the summer of 2010 but there has been talk this week of a new deal for the man who led the team into the Premier League for the first time and at the first time of asking,<\/p>\n
Rodgers said when asked whether he would sign a new deal\u00a0\u201cYeah, I love it here. There is no reason not to.<\/p>\n
\u201cI would just have to sit down, look at the club and make sure the vision of the club aligns with my own and we can continue to move forward.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe club have treated me ever so well, the supporters have been brilliant with me.<\/p>\n
\u201cHopefully, they will feel I have given them something in return.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, it would be straightforward for me to sign another deal here.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat will be up to the board and chairman to decide now.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the summer, when the chairman spoke with me about my side of things, my concentration was purely on getting the players sorted and organised.<\/p>\n
\u201cI also had personal things going on and a new contract was probably the furthest thing from my mind.<\/p>\n
