“We felt as though we were equipped to come to a big team and deliver a big performance.<\/p>\n
“We’ve now grown into this league and to come here and play like that fills me with great pride, and overall we were outstanding this afternoon.<\/p>\n
“We had some good fortune early on but you need that little bit of luck,” he said. “But there was nothing lucky about the performance, and the players deserve every plaudit that they get.<\/p>\n
“Unfortunately for Wayne I’ve had to play him in a number of positions since he’s come in,” he said. “But he was outstanding today, he made good space, took up some good positions and collectively the team were outstanding.<\/p>\n
“For the players to show that confidence and display our philosophy of football was incredible.”<\/p>\n
