Wayne Routledge says that the experience of a standing ovation at Anfield was one that was amazing<\/p>\n
Routledge said after the game\u00a0“I’ve played here before and had good experiences but to be honest I’m still a bit stunned because my family is from Liverpool, I’ve been coming here since I was five-years-old and I’ve never seen a team clapped off<\/p>\n
“To experience that was amazing. That says everything about the team performance because the fans in Liverpool know their football and they knew what they saw.<\/p>\n
“We’re not little old Swansea City anymore. Teams are seeing the way we play football and our beliefs and are giving us respect.<\/p>\n
“We just have to keep doing that.<\/p>\n
“Hopefully I impressed. I came here late in the summer and had to bide my time,” said Routledge.<\/p>\n
“I got a chance out wide and it was a great team performance. I was happy to be part of it.<\/p>\n
“The manager deserves so much credit for the way we’ve settled and the philosophies he and the coaching staff hold at the football club.<\/p>\n
“You saw it last year in the Championship, the only way the club is going to play is by passing it and keeping the ball, and we haven’t changed.<\/p>\n
“You can see it in every game from Manchester City all the way through, our belief and philosophy isn’t going to change.<\/p>\n
“As long as we keep doing what we believe in I think we’ll reap the rewards for it.<\/p>\n
“We’re learning game by game as a team and we’ll only get better.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
