Monk told the club’s official website after the game<\/p>\n

“It was a strange game because we played pretty well, controlled it and created chances,” said Monk.<\/p>\n

“But some individual mistakes from us saw us get punished.<\/p>\n

“Everything was right for us to get a result – I don’t think they came out at us. They were apprehensive and we could sense that.<\/p>\n

“But it shows that in this league you get punished for even the smallest of mistakes – they were poor goals to concede.<\/p>\n

“It shows his quality of finishing. I thought we handled him well in open play, but he took the chances that came his way.<\/p>\n

“It’s a cruel lesson for us. But we have guys that want to learn and you will see a reaction from us next week against Fulham.”<\/p>\n
