Rodgers told BBC Sport\u00a0“In this short period with us he’s proven he’s a top keeper at this level and he’ll only get better<\/p>\n
“He’s been in the country only six months now so he’s only going to improve and get better once he finds that co-ordination with the team by playing with them and getting more experience of the Barclays Premier League.<\/p>\n
“His career is only on the up in terms of his performances.<\/p>\n
“In terms of my eyes, [Vorm] is very much a top, top keeper,” added Rodgers, who revealed he had kept a close eye on Krul’s development since signing for Newcastle from Den Haag in 2006.<\/p>\n
“I can only judge on what I see on a daily basis and on a weekly basis in his performance level.<\/p>\n
“There’s certainly no doubt I would like to see a better one than Michel because if there is someone better than him in the Dutch national team then they’ve obviously got an outstanding keeper.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
