After a third away point of the season at Newcastle, Joe Allen remains confident that the first away win is coming – and could arrive at Everton on Wednesday<\/p>\n
Allen said after Saturday’s 0-0 draw\u00a0\u201cWe\u2019re getting more and more confident on the road and we\u2019re looking forward to Wednesday\u2019s game to see if we can get that first away win<\/p>\n
\u201cIt would get the monkey off our back, but it\u2019s not something that overly bothering us \u2013 we\u2019re confident it will happen.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe just have to make sure we work 100% to try and achieve that and show composure and bravery to go to these places, play our football and get results.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s difficult to go away and just think about a win because you can lose a little bit of focus from the fact you\u2019re playing at a Premier League team that\u2019s been there for years. We know it\u2019s going to be another tough game but we\u2019ve got a great team and some great players here that are capable of going to these places and getting results.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou can speak about so many grounds that will be tough to travel to this season and Goodison Park is another one,\u201d said Allen, who returned to the Swans\u2019 starting line-up on Saturday following a one-game ban.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ll have to show resolve at in some parts of the game, I\u2019m sure, then we\u2019ll have to go up the other end, create some chances and score some goals.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s no reason why we can\u2019t go to places like that and get results.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a shame we haven\u2019t got that victory before now but there have been some positive performances and it\u2019s important to remember that.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve shown how far we\u2019ve come. We had to defend for our lives and we were prepared to do that.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe would do anything to pick up point.<\/p>\n
\u201cAway from home has been a bit of a focus recently. We haven\u2019t had that away victory but we\u2019ve been to Liverpool and kept a clean sheet and we\u2019ve come to St James\u2019 Park and done the same there.<\/p>\n
