Brendan Rodgers will be in the opposing dugout to David Moyes tonight but has the utmost respect for the man who leads Everton<\/p>\n
Rodgers said\u00a0\u201cDavid has done a terrific job there to keep them up the top end of the table for so many years<\/p>\n
\u201cI have an immense respect for him and feel he\u2019s done a remarkable job there. He\u2019s one of those managers who deserves a crack at a big club.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s one of the British managers who has been consistent over the years at that level. He\u2019s a role model for young managers and coaches.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was at Preston as a young manager, did a good job there and he got the opportunity at Everton.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s been supported well by an excellent chairman.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey don\u2019t have the resources of their counterparts across the way, but he\u2019s made them competitive.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s a manager who deserves the opportunity, not necessarily at a big club because Everton are a big club… but the opportunity to win trophies.<\/p>\n
