Rodgers said after the game\u00a0“Psychologically this will help us. We have confidence in our game home and away but there is nothing like the confidence you get from the evidence of winning.<\/p>\n
“This result and performance can give the players that extra belief to go on from here.<\/p>\n
“We spoke before the game about making a new commitment to our resolve away from home and showing a bit more steel to get our rewards. We got it and that’s pleasing.<\/p>\n
“It was wonderful performance and the players were brilliant. Everything that is good in our game was evident. The intelligence of our pressing and some of\u00a0our passing was exceptional.<\/p>\n
“I’m delighted for the players and the supporters who have travelled more than any other club in this division and now have three points to enjoy.<\/p>\n
“This was a tough period for us but we showed trust in the group to retain our energy mentally and physically.<\/p>\n
“Tactically Nathan did very well to read it and force the error with a great finish and it’s incredible to think that is Wayne’s first goal after so many years and the talent he has.<\/p>\n
