Brendan Rodgers has shrugged off claims that maybe Stoke’s eye won’t be quite on the ball when they head to the Britannia next Sunday<\/p>\n
Compare and contrast as the Swans will go into the game on the back of a two week break that saw them head to Tenerife on a mid season break whilst during that period the Potters appeared twice in Europe and are today in FA Cup action away to Crawley.<\/p>\n
Rodgers said “They have three cup ties while we aren’t playing any games and I’m sure Stoke will want to do well in both the FA Cup and the Europa League<\/p>\n
“But I think irrespective of what other fixtures they have, you know it will be a hard game when you go to play against Stoke.<\/p>\n
“Going to the Britannia Stadium and getting a result is a difficult task for anyone at any time, we know that.<\/p>\n
“You can always be sure that Tony’s teams will be competitive.<\/p>\n
“They have the game at Crawley which I am sure they will want to do well in having got to the FA Cup final last season,” Rodgers added.<\/p>\n
“Then they travel to the Mestalla for the second leg which is going to be another tough game.<\/p>\n
“You can only concentrate on your next game, so it will only be after that they can focus on us.<\/p>\n
“But we are not thinking about how Stoke are preparing.<\/p>\n
“We are just using this break to reflect on what we feel has been a terrific season for us to date and looking at how we can keep on improving.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
