Alan Tate is considering a move into a coaching role when his playing days are over<\/p>\n
Tate said in tonight’s Evening Post “I do try to help the young lads through the game, but my role’s no different to how I play in the first team — I can’t change the way I play<\/p>\n
“When you play in the first team the lads are used to being in certain positions, used to playing in big games and against better players.<\/p>\n
“In the reserves you’re trying to teach the lads you’re playing besides. If I can help them, that’s great.<\/p>\n
“Coaching is something I’ve thought about. I’ll think about it more towards the back end of my career and hopefully I’ve got a bit of time before that.<\/p>\n
“I’ll be doing them next year,” he added. “I did my C Licence when I was a young apprentice, I’ve got the B, A and Pro Licence to do.<\/p>\n
“Monks (Garry Monk) can probably be my assistant, but we’ll have to see who gets there first.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
