Neil Taylor will head to QPR with the Swans on Wednesday warning that the Swans have a point to prove<\/p>\n
The Swans head to Loftus Road on the back of three successive defeats and to the location of their heaviest defeat of last season – they were beaten 4-0 at Loftus Road as QPR moved towards the Championship winners trophy.<\/p>\n
And Taylor believes that gives the Swans something to prove in front of the Sky TV cameras<\/p>\n
“It’s another big game on Wednesday,” said the left-back.<\/p>\n
“QPR need wins so they’re going to come out fighting and after what happened last year we want to go there and do really well.<\/p>\n
“We didn’t give a very good account of ourselves last year.<\/p>\n
“They were very good on the day, but I think this year it’s going to be different. We need to go there and show that we’re worthy of a mid-table finish.<\/p>\n
“We want to go there and pick up a result.”<\/p>\n
Swansea, with 39 points on the board, look to have secured their Premier League status, while Rangers are entrenched in a scrap to avoid dropping back into the Championship.<\/p>\n
“We’re ahead of them, but they’ll be fighting,” said Taylor.<\/p>\n
“They know their home form is going to be crucial until the end of the season, so we just have to go there and do as well as we can.<\/p>\n
“We played well and were unlucky on Friday. Two bits of quality won the game.<\/p>\n
“I’ve had the best year of my life,” added the Wales defender. “I’ve played more than 30 games in the Premier League and that wouldn’t have happened if I’d gone somewhere like Newcastle.<\/p>\n
“I love the way we play football as well.<\/p>\n
“There are no complaints from me, it’s been a great season so far and we want to sprint over the line, not stumble.<\/p>\n
“There are a lot of players in this league who would love to be at a football club like this because of the way we play.”<\/p>\n
And on speculation that the Swans could lose their manager in the summer?<\/p>\n
“That’s not even been spoken about among the lads and it’s not unsettling at all,” added Taylor.<\/p>\n
“In the football industry you know how things work, you know things are talked about, whether it’s players or managers.<\/p>\n
“I hope he stays. All the lads want him here. We wouldn’t want him to ever leave.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
