Stephen Dobbie grabs a hat trick as the Swans coast to victory at Port Talbot<\/p>\n
The Swans kicked off their pre-season with a routine win before they fly out to America for their 10-day tour of the States.<\/p>\n
Laudrup was at the Genquip Stadium to see Stephen Dobbie grab a first half treble as he looks to force his way into the new manager’s plans.<\/p>\n
Dobbie was disguarded by former boss Brendan Rodgers last season and spent the second half of the campaign on loan to Championship side Blackpool.<\/p>\n
The Scottish forward put Swansea in front from the penalty spot after four minutes when Cortez Belle brought Curtis Obeng down with a rash<\/span> challenge.<\/p>\n Swansea doubled their advantage two minutes later, Leroy Lita making the most of some hesitation in the Port Talbot defence to fire a left-foot shot into the bottom corner.<\/p>\n Dobbie, linked with Blackpool and Celtic this summer, twice went close midway through the first half as the Premier League side imposed themselves on the home side.<\/p>\n He got his second on 23 minutes and again it was from the penalty spot.<\/p>\n Port Talbot left back Paul Keddle hauled down Leroy Lita and Dobbie stepped up to slot home from 12 yards.<\/p>\n He sealed his hat-trick three minutes later, combining with Spanish midfielder Andrea Orlandi and lifting a finish over goalkeeper Craig Richards.<\/p>\n A much-changed Swansea side continued to control the second half with a number of the club’s young stars given the chance to impress.<\/p>\n Eighteen-year old midfielder Henry Jones grabbed the only goal of the second half with a fine drive from the edge of the Port Talbot box.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Stephen Dobbie grabs a hat trick as the Swans coast to victory at Port Talbot The Swans kicked off their pre-season with a routine win before they fly out to America for their 10-day tour of the States.
