Led by rookie manager Garry Monk, they upset the apple cart on Day 1 when they triumphed 2-1 at Old Trafford and we went onto do the league double over both United and Arsenal, only the third team in Premier League history to do that in the same season.<\/p>\n
And whilst it wasn’t quite the highest place that the Swans have ever achieved – John Toshack’s side finished 6th in the top flight in 1982 – it was still enough for Jenkins to hail the season as the best ever.<\/p>\n
