West Ham’s busy pre-season continued as Dimitri Payet scored twice in an entertaining game at Roots Hall.<\/p>\n
Payet scored an unstoppable free kick and a good finish into the corner to give the Hammers a win just 48 hours after their Europa League tie in midweek.<\/p>\n
Southend had taken the lead thanks to Kevan Hurst whilst Anthony Wordsworth equalised before half time after Payet’s brace<\/p>\n
An own goal though in the second half proved to be the final action as West Ham won again.<\/p>\n
