Twelve months ago, the Swans were the visitors to Old Trafford for Louis Van Gaal\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s first competitive game in charge and goals from Ki and Gylfi Sigurdsson gave the Swans a win against the odds as they started a campaign that eventually would lead them to a record breaking 8th placed finish with 56 points.<\/p>\n
It was also the springboard to a fantastic season for Ki who returned to the fold after a year on loan at Sunderland and was as good as a new signing for the Swans last season and made himself one of the first names on the team sheet in many games.<\/p>\n
The Swans this time around have been handed an equally tough start to the campaign with a trip to the Champions on the opening day of the season and they are clearly again ranked as clear outsiders to get a result to kick start a new season.<\/p>\n
But we have had a habit of upsetting the odds in the past four seasons in the league and will certainly go to the Bridge with the belief that we can get a result no matter how little people expect it.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153We had the perfect start last year which set us up for the rest of the campaign,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Ki.<\/p>\n
