Britton, who has been at Swansea since 2002, looked set to leave the Swans in search of first team football something that the Swans had admitted that they were not able to offer him on a regular basis. But the two sides never got close to parting company and Britton appeared last Saturday against Newcastle as a substitute and that was the next real sign that we got that maybe he did have a future at the club.<\/p>\n
Earlier in the week Monk admitted that Leon could be staying at Swansea and now it has been confirmed by the player himself who must be relieved to have his immediate future sorted out<\/p>\n
Talking to the Evening Post, Britton said “I spoke to the manager about two weeks ago and it was decided that the best thing for me was to stay here.<\/p>\n
