When the Swans returned from the international break on September 12th, we were a side in the top four places of the Premier League and on the back of a win over Man Utd at the Liberty. Just two weeks later and we have scored one goal in four games and dropped down the league as well as being dumped out of the Capital One Cup.<\/p>\n
It makes the heady days of August seem so long ago as we scratch around for a bit of form and know that our away performances against Watford and Southampton in particular have not been acceptable.<\/p>\n
And that is a view shared by captain Ashley Williams \u00e2\u20ac\u0153We are really disappointed. We didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t do enough to get anything from the game<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153It was a poor performance as a team \u00e2\u20ac\u201c on and off the ball \u00e2\u20ac\u201c so it was a disappointing day.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153We moved the ball slowly and didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t play with any intensity or pace.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153In the second half we wanted a reaction and we conceded an early goal. We didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t get going until the last 15 minutes.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153It hurts us more than anyone at the club. The boys were very down in the dressing room, as they should be.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153We are the ones that go out there and play, and even if we don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t perform we have to come out and speak (to the media) and face up to it.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153We put a lot of work in throughout the week in order to win this game, and when you don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t get the performance and result it hurts. The fans are disappointed, and so are we.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153I understand we will lose games, but the manner in which we lost the game was disappointing. That wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t us out there today.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s all about showing the right attitude and training well in order for the next game \u00e2\u20ac\u201c the senior boys will make sure of that.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n
