Sigurdsson has been a target for Everton all summer but they have not yet matched the valuation placed on the player by the Swans and we have gone into the season with the position unresolved which is clearly something that has irritated the manager.<\/p>\n
It was obvious to pretty much everyone watching the game at Southampton that we need strengthening on the pitch but Clement is clearly hampered by what he can do whilst this position remains open.<\/p>\n
And he refused after the game to talk about potential incomings until Gylfi’s future was resolved something that clearly he hopes will happen this week<\/p>\n

The worrying part here is that clearly we have no transfer budget any more unless there are outgoings and that shows how badly we have fared in the transfer market in recent years.<\/p>\n
