It is a very simple philosophy stated by Ryan Manning today but one that rings true when you think of the impact that the full back had in last night’s 2-1 win over Stoke having come in as one of the four changes made by Steve Cooper following the defeat by Bristol City.<\/p>\n
Manning was the creator for Connor Roberts equaliser in the first half and tested the keeper himself on a couple of occasions as he replaced Jake Bidwell to great effect as both full backs caused Stoke problems for large parts of the evening.<\/p>\n
It has become a rare appearance for Manning who often impresses when selected but has been forced to sit back and watch largely as the two full backs of Bidwell and Roberts have excelled for large parts of the season.<\/p>\n
But, on the evidence of last night alone, the Swans know they have a more than capable replacement on the left side of the formation and Manning is happy to do his bit in the promotion push when it is requested.<\/p>\n
\u201cEveryone\u2019s contributing \u2013 if you\u2019re called in to do a job, you do a job \u2013 and it just goes to show how competitive the squad is,\u201d said Manning.<\/p>\n
