Tony Mowbray has today confirmed that he is unlikely to have either Adam Armstrong Or Jarrad Branthwaite available for the Swans clash on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n

Both players missed out as Blackburn returned to winning ways against Millwall at the weekend – Armstrong through a\u00a0tight hamstring whilst Branthwaite sat out due to a non-COVID related illness.<\/p>\n

And on the eve of the game, the Blackburn boss admitted that neither were likely to return for the rearranged clash with the Swans and also added that Armstrong in particular was just not being risked for the game.<\/p>\n

\u201cAdam\u2019s pain-free, but if it\u2019s a tendon injury then we\u2019ll have to be careful,” said Mowbray.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom what I\u2019m told, you have to rehabilitate the tendon otherwise it can be damaged pretty quickly.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019ll have to go through a strengthening period, hopefully around a week or so.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I imagine that he\u2019ll be back on the grass later this week and we\u2019ll wait and see whether Friday night against Brentford will come too soon for him.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt won\u2019t be too long, Adam won\u2019t be out for six weeks.<\/p>\n

\u201cJarrad is hopefully going to be back on the grass today, but he\u2019s been ill and I wouldn\u2019t anticipate him being involved,” he added during his Monday morning press conference.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he\u2019ll be a bit washed out following his illness, so I expect it\u2019ll be the same kind of group, the same squad for Swansea.\u201d<\/p>\n
