Tony Mowbray, wants his Blackburn Rovers side to take advantage over the Swans this afternoon and capitalise against a side that he says must be ‘fragile’ after a recent run of poor results.<\/p>\n
Blackburn arrived in SA1 today knowing that they had the chance to consolidate their position in the top two of the division and close the gap on leaders Fulham who in FA Cup action at Manchester City.<\/p>\n
Contrast that with the Swans who have just one win in their last eight league outings and go into the game with back to back defeats against Hull and Luton and you couldn’t have much more of a difference in confidence.<\/p>\n
Mowbray expects his side to have chances thanks to the Swans “brave” way of playing football but wants the visitors to be clinical in the way they approach the game.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Rovers TV, the Blackburn boss said “Luton went to Swansea in midweek and managed to win there because of their intensity and hard work.<\/p>\n
\u201cHaving watched that game, Swansea are a good football team who had over 70 percent of the ball.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn the moments of transition, when we win the ball back, can we pick those spaces and pick those runs?<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ll have to be clinical against a side who must be fragile on the back of the results they\u2019ve had, despite their pleasing on the eye football.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey give you opportunities because they\u2019re so brave with the ball, it\u2019s a possession-based way of playing.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe coach trusts them to play and tries to give his team a chance to dominate games.<\/p>\n
