Nigel Pearson will bring his Bristol City side tomorrow looking to extend their lead over the Swans in the league table in a game that he, obviously says that they don’t want to lose especially as the Swans took all three points at Ashton Gate earlier on in the season.<\/p>\n
A Joel Piroe strike was enough to separate the teams and give Russell Martin a first league win<\/a><\/strong> in charge of the Swans back in August a win that prompted Pearson to say afterwards<\/a><\/strong> “It\u2019s not about excuses it\u2019s about being realistic. We created enough chances to win the game tonight, maybe to win two games but we didn\u2019t take them.”<\/p>\n It is definitely one of those “wrongs” that Pearson would like to correct on Sunday in SA1 as he prepares himself for a return to the dugout after missing their midweek win over Reading thanks to a ‘scheduled routine medical procedure’<\/p>\n It was a procedure that he was asked about during his press conference yesterday and he answered “I\u2019m feeling okay thanks.”<\/p>\n Moving onto the challenge of the Swans on Sunday the Bristol City boss was a little more detailed and specific when he talked about “It\u2019s a derby so it\u2019ll be a tough game. We\u2019ll be well supported whether it be in person at the stadium or whether our fans watch it elsewhere I know there will be a lot of interest in how we perform and of course the result.<\/p>\n “We\u2019re expecting what everyone expects when you play against Swansea and that is a team that like to keep possession, we\u2019ll have to make sure that we\u2019re good at what we do.<\/p>\n “There aren\u2019t many teams that have scored goals more goals than us, the problem has been letting into many throughout the season but certainly recently. We\u2019re a more potent force than people have given us credit for.<\/p>\n “It\u2019ll be an interesting game, it\u2019s one that we don\u2019t want to lose, but one that we want to win.”<\/p>\n The game at the Swansea.com stadium kicks off at 1pm.<\/p>\n
