West Brom boss Steve Bruce admitted it was a difficult evening for him and his team as they were beaten by the better side with the Swans coming away with a 2-0 victory.<\/p>\n
Goals from Joel Piroe and Cyrus Christie delivered a perfect response after three consecutive losses away from home and ensured a happy trip home for Russell Martin’s team and the hardy away following.<\/p>\n
Bruce is yet to win as manager of the Baggies in his fifth game and his side have failed to score in three successive home games for the first time since 2003 under Gary Megson.<\/p>\n
After tonight’s performance there’s clearly a lot for Bruce to do to revive West Brom’s now distant play off hopes as Swansea moved to within five points of his team with the three points.<\/p>\n
He told the WBA official site: “I\u2019m really disappointed, just like everyone else at the club.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have to handle the situations better than what we\u2019re doing at the moment.<\/p>\n
\u201cI understand we\u2019re in a difficult place and we\u2019re in a bad run, but from the first five minutes of the game the decisions we made and the balls we were playing were a big problem for us.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a difficult evening.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe made mistakes. To play here you\u2019ll know there are big expectations. The club expects to be at the top end of the Championship or in the Premier League.<\/p>\n
“You have to handle the expectation. At the moment, we\u2019re simply not doing that.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s alright saying we\u2019ve got a really good squad of players on paper. We\u2019re not seeing enough of that on the pitch.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m disappointed not just with the manner in which we conceded goals, but it all started in the second minute when the first corner we had was played in too low.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere were too many players nervous and anxious. There wasn\u2019t enough confidence. It\u2019s up to me to try and breathe confidence into them.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt might have been different if the two Robinson efforts go in rather than hitting the post, but we can\u2019t be happy with the performance.<\/p>\n
