Anderson has been out of action since the Swans drew at Nottingham Forest at the end of January although he did make a 60 second cameo appearance against MK Dons at the Liberty Stadium – a 60 second cameo where he set up a great chance for Febian Brandy.<\/p>\n
But Anderson will now miss pretty much the rest of the month and by the time he returns to action he could find that the Swans are already promoted – a massive achievement if it is secured by the end of March.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the Evening Post, Anderson said "It's so frustrating<\/p>\n
"I thought I was close to coming back last week but I had a scan and the news wasn't great.<\/p>\n
"The injury is coming on but not as fast as I would have liked and it could be another two or three weeks before I'm playing again.<\/p>\n
"It was quite a serious tear that I suffered and I've just got to rest.<\/p>\n
"I will push on as quickly as I can because I'm desperate to start playing again, but I'm not going to push it to the point where my hamstring just goes again."<\/p>\n
The Swans were not slow in blaming the referee at Forest for the injury – chronic traffic around Nottingham meant the club didn't arrive until half hour before kick off, hugely reducing their warm up time <\/p>\n
"The frustrating thing is that I can do everything now apart from sprint, but the problem is that sprinting is my game.<\/p>\n
"I can kick a ball and do all the other things in training, but as soon as I get to 80 per cent running the hamstring goes again.<\/p>\n
"It's disappointing, but I just have to keep working to get it right and hopefully make my come back towards the end of the season.<\/p>\n
"We seem to have been dropping like flies lately," Anderson admitted.<\/p>\n
"But I think the lads showed at Huddersfield last weekend what a great squad we've got and that any one of our players can come in and do a job."<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
