Feeney came on as substitute in Cardiff's league victory over Hull in midweek to some jeers from a section of the Ninian Park support. It was Feeney's first appearance for Cardiff after his loan spell at the Liberty which ended in injury pre-Christmas after scoring 5 goals in a 13 match spell.<\/p>\n
Referring to the boos he told the Western Mail “From my time on loan down the road, I was half expecting a few shouts when I came on<\/p>\n
“I went to Swansea City to play football, and it worked for me.<\/p>\n
“But now I’m back, and I want to do well for Cardiff City – they are the ones who pay my wages.<\/p>\n
“And despite what a few of the fans were shouting, it was good to get back on the pitch.”<\/p>\n
But despite the boos he is determined to play his part at Cardiff although he will not be able to feature in their cup semi-final having played for the Swans earlier in the competition<\/p>\n
“The way the season has suddenly turned around thanks to the cup run shows you what football is all about. We’ve had momentum in the cup, but we’ve been disappointed not to take it into the league.<\/p>\n
“Now’s the time to do it.<\/p>\n
“It’s going to be hard to focus, but we always knew it would be.<\/p>\n
“But with the run we’ve started now, you just want the games to keep coming.<\/p>\n
“We’ve two or three games to catch up on the other teams.<\/p>\n
“Our season in the Championship is not finished and we’re looking forward to an FA Cup semi-final.<\/p>\n
“It would be absolutely fantastic if it’s all to play for. If we make one final push towards the end of the season, who knows?”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
