Paul Trollope – the Rovers manager – was under no illusions that it was the fault of the Swansea staff member when he said "Danny Coles has a bloodied lip and as far as we are concerned the blame was all on one side. By all accounts Danny was on the end of a headbutt from a member of Swansea's staff. <\/p>\n
"The police are investigating and came to our dressing room afterwards. The incident was witnessed by other players and a number of stewards. <\/p>\n
"I can't say whether we will be taking action as a club at this stage. We will be awaiting the result of the police investigation."<\/p>\n
Roberto though was much more keen to play down the incident and said "It was something that happened in the heat of the moment and football is a passionate game. It was one of those incidents that happens week in, week out"<\/p>\n
A police spokesman said: "A 38-year-old man from Swansea was arrested at the Memorial Stadium last night following a report of an assault on a 26-year-old Bristol man, following the Coca Cola League one fixture between Bristol Rovers and Swansea City.<\/p>\n
"The incident took place in the tunnel following the game."<\/p>\n
