Of Scotland's 29 goals this season, 18 have come away from the Liberty Stadium in 25 games compared to his 11 goal haul in 27 games at the Liberty. And that is a statistic that Scotland puts down to how he feels when he takes to the pitch in front of his own supporters.<\/p>\n
If you take that statistic further since the start of the year Scotland has 13 goals in 15 games away from the Liberty but just 3 in 11 appearances in Swansea. And the striker believes that he would have a much higher tally if he was able to not feel on edge when he was playing there.<\/p>\n
Both Scotland and his agent have spoken out in recent weeks about the fans getting behind the player and it does seem more noticeable at away games that he is a different player with stick quite freely there for him at home games.<\/p>\n
Speaking in the News of the World, Scotland said "I'm not relaxed when I play at the Liberty. That's because I get the feeling that the fans are not behind me.<\/p>\n
"I'm playing better in our away games and that's because I'm able to relax more. But I want to feel more at home at the Liberty.<\/p>\n
"If that happens then I will score more goals there. At the moment I'm a bit on edge when I play there and I really want that to change.<\/p>\n
