{"id":73496,"date":"2022-12-14T11:36:57","date_gmt":"2022-12-14T11:36:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jackarmy.net\/wp67\/?p=73496"},"modified":"2022-12-14T11:36:57","modified_gmt":"2022-12-14T11:36:57","slug":"levien-denies-tax-allegation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jackarmy.net\/wp67\/2022\/12\/14\/levien-denies-tax-allegation\/","title":{"rendered":"Levien denies tax allegation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jason Levien has categorically stated that the accusations aimed in his direction around &#8220;cheating&#8221; taxes are untrue stating that the accusations have already been investigated in full.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackandredunited.com\/2022\/12\/13\/23508124\/whistleblower-complaint-accuses-d-c-uniteds-jason-levien-of-tax-evasion\">Red and Black United<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"\">, the DC United website, Levien said that the &#8220;<\/span><em><strong>allegations contained in the story and in the lawsuit are categorically and demonstrably false<\/strong>&#8220;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">The article earlier today reported &#8220;<\/span><span style=\"\">Levien lied to New York officials by claiming to live in Florida for years to avoid $2.5 million to $5.2 million in city and state taxes, according to a recently unsealed complaint obtained by Insider. After an extensive review, PricewaterhouseCoopers concluded that I do not owe anything in taxes in any jurisdiction, and in fact, I overpaid. This is a meritless lawsuit, the state of New York looked into this and decided not to pursue it.<\/em><\/p>\n<p id=\"4Zexmq\"><em>While this involves my personal taxes and is not directly a D.C. United issue, I am aware that issues that involve me could reflect on our club.
