After holding down a regular place in the Div.1 outfit for a season a serious injury to his foot held him back and forced him to move on gratefully to the Swans for only \u00c2\u00a355,000. What a Bargain that proved to be! Mat is a firm left footed defender who&#8217;s defensive qualites are great but his distribution is woeful.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1999\/2000 Boundy&#8217;s take no prisoners attitude and buliding a firm defensive relationship with fellow central defender Jason Smith proved the best in the football league conceeding less goals than any other team. This resulted in a selection for the Div 3 team of the year.<\/li>\n<li>2000\/2001 Bound failed to live up to the great expections of last season, this might have a lot of bearing on the fact that the great back 4 of last season only played 6 games together this season due to injury.
