Smudger joined the Swans shortly after winning the FA Vase with Tiverton Town for a nominal fee of \u00c2\u00a310,000, started as a youth player with Coventry but never made the grade. After giving up on professional football Jason joined the part-timers whilst working in a pharmacy. Smudger is a quality defender, good in the air, rarely beaten on the floor except by pure pace.<\/p>\n
