On the night when Leeds United secured the services of Joel Piroe on a four year deal there was an almost immediate report that Nathan Wood was being the subject of an increased bid from Southampton as the reality of the summer transfer window became clear.<\/p>\n
It has always been widely expected that the Swans would see departures – and high profile ones at that – this summer and with this increased bid the chances of Nathan Wood departing have dramatically increased and it could even be that the deal for his departure could be sealed as quickly as it was for Piroe.<\/p>\n
Both deals – assuming the second is completed – will leave the Swans needing to be active in the remaining week of the window with now it seems potentially four or five players required to take us past the transfer window.<\/p>\n
