Ange Postecoglou says that the rejected approach from Swansea City is not the end of the discussions as far as a move for Chris Davies is concerned.<\/p>\n
Spurs rejected an initial approach this week but it’s widely anticipated that the club will return with a further approach providing Davies wants to leave North London for South Wales.<\/p>\n
And if Tottenham boss Postecoglou is to be believed then it seems that is certainly the case, describing Davies as an outstanding individual who has done “great work for us.”<\/p>\n
It has seemed apparent since Michael Duff was sacked on Monday that the WelshmN was the preferred candidate after initial talks took place this summer over the job.<\/p>\n
Known for wanting attractive, possession based football, he seems to fit all the criteria which both the club and fans are looking for.<\/p>\n
Working with some top coaches like Brendan Rodgers, Roberto Martinez and Postecoglou doesn’t always translate to being a good manager but it’s clear to see that Davies has a great background.<\/p>\n
When asked about if the rejection of Swansea’s approach meant Davies would stay, Postecoglou said; “No, I’ve just had a brief discussion with Chris.<\/p>\n
“He knows we’ve got a busy week. He’s an outstanding individual and he’s done great work with us.\u201d<\/p>\n
