There should be little doubt that Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny R\u00f6hl would have felt more than a little frustrated yesterday afternoon after watching the Swans leave Hillsborough with a point that they barely deserved in 1 -1 draw.<\/p>\n
A second half goal from Jamal Lowe cancelled out Bailey Cadamarteri’s first half strike that gave the home side the lead and looked to be moving them out of the division’s bottom three as we head towards the final stages of the season.<\/p>\n
After a first half dominated by the Swans in possession R\u00f6hl may have been forgiven for thinking that all the hard work had been completed with the opening goal but they failed to take the chances that came their way in the second half and that eventually cost them when Lowe scored.<\/p>\n
Even after that equaliser though it only looked like there was one team that would go on to secure the three points in what was a slow and laboured Swans performance and Wednesday pushed on but were unable to find a way past Carl Rushworth in the Swansea goal.<\/p>\n
R\u00f6hl said: \u201cAt first we must take the point. We wanted the win, of course we did, and we created chances, the players gave absolutely everything.<\/p>\n
\u201cA second goal would have been so important and we came so close, we hit the crossbar, we had other chances, we might have had a penalty\u2026but these are not excuses, so we put this game away and move on to Middlesbrough on Monday.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere was so much positive energy in the stadium today and I know together we can do this, we can get over the line.\u201d<\/p>\n
Cadamateri’s place in the line up was not there when they teams were announced at two o’clock but his inclusion was explained by the home boss after the game \u201cDi\u2019Shon felt something while warming up. It has been a long 14 days for him with all the travel and the games so this is something we must manage.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe had Bambo to come in and he did really well. He has not had a lot of minutes recently and he played a good performance.”<\/p>\n
