Various media outlets are reporting that Swansea City captain Matt Grimes is edging closer to a move to Saturday’s opponents Coventry City.<\/p>\n
After ten years at the club, the Swans midfielder has again been a mainstay in the team as Luke Williams’ men sit in the lower half of the Championship.<\/p>\n
But it appears that with two and a half years remaining on his contract it appears that his relationship with the club will come to end with the Sky Blues increasingly confident of completing a deal before next week’s transfer deadline.<\/p>\n
Two bids have been rejected so far but with sources at both the BBC and Wales Online understanding that a move is likely to go through, one would expect that the deal will be done sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n
In terms of a fee it is likely to be in the region of \u00a32-3m for the 29 year old.<\/p>\n
To say it sets alarm bells ringing maybe a bit reactive but it is a concern that we would look to move away from someone that fans view as the glue that holds the team together.<\/p>\n
