WATN – Jan Molby

His reputation as a player needs no introduction, a tremendously skilled passer of the ball who, despite making limitedm appearances in the first team, played a massive part in getting the Swans to the play-off final, where he saw his team robbed by Northampton in the last minute. The fans, team and club were always going to need time to recover from the Wembley disaster – Molby never got the chance. With the team languishing in the wrong half of the table, he was sacked in November 1997. Following a stint in radio and television, Jan then took over at non-league Kidderminster and guided them to the Conference title and into the Football League at the first attempt. When they get home from the Vetch on a Saturday evening, Kidderminster will be the first scoreline that most Swans fans will look for as Molby begins another assault on Division Three this season.
