Price is out of contract at the end of the season, and manager John Hollins has acted now, rather than waiting until the end of the season, and risk losing him for nothing.

Hollins confirmed that Price has turned down the club’s offer, which is within his rights. “In the interest of both the club and the player, I have put him on the transfer list, and circulated his details to all clubs in the 2nd division and above”, added Hollins.

Price joined the club from Aberaman Athletic Youth, and made his first team debut at the Vetch in January 1997, coming off the bench in a 2-0 win against Doncaster. Since then, he has made 121 league appearances, scoring 14 goals.
